Résumons de manière la plus simple possible ce qu'il se passe actuellemnt dans le milieu de la mode (et laissez-moi vous dire qu'il se passe beaucoup de chose !).
The end of the year always brings some surprises, more or less big.
Let’s summarize in the simplest way possible what is currently happening in the fashion world (and let me tell you that there are a lot of things going on!).
JOHN GALLIANO ET MAISON MARGIELA, C'EST TERMINÉ !

Tout d'abord, la première nouvelle dévastatrice est celle du départ de John Galliano de chez Margiela.
Après 10 ans au sein de la maison et après avoir révolutionné le monde de la mode et de la Haute Couture, John Galliano quitte le navire.
Nous ne connaissons ni son remplaçant (en même temps, difficile de passer après Mr.Galliano), ni son avenir dans la mode (ou pas).
Il s'est exprimé à ce sujet sur Instagram : "Les rumeurs... Tout le monde veut savoir et tout le monde veut rêver. Quand le moment sera venu, je vous dirai tout de mon futur. Pour le moment, j'exprime mon immense gratitude. Je continue d'expier mes fautes et je ne cesserai jamais de rêver".
Son défilé Maison Margiela Artisanal de janvier qui a fait le buzz partout sur la planète grâce à son génie créatif était donc l'adieu de John Galliano pour cette maison. Et quelle manière de partir !
Qui pourra donc remplacer l'irremplaçable ?

His Maison Margiela Artisanal fashion show in January, which made a splash all over the world thanks to his creative genius, was therefore John Galliano’s farewell to this house. And what a way to go !

Britannique en poste chez Carven depuis Février 2023, Louise Trotter se retrouve désormais chez l'une des têtes d'affiches de la Fashion Week de Milan : Bottega Veneta.
Passée par Lacoste de 2018 à 2023, elle n'a pas réussi à s'imposer chez le crocodile mais a définitivement laissé sa marque chez Carven grâce à ses collections minimalistes pour la maison française.
Elle prendra ses nouvelles fonctions fin Janvier 2025, cependant, elle ne présentera sa première collection qu'en Octobre 2025 lors de la Fashio Week de Milan.
British Carven since February 2023, Louise Trotter is now working for one of the heads of the Milan Fashion Week: Bottega Veneta.
She spent by Lacoste from 2018 to 2023, she did not succeed in establishing herself at the crocodile but definitely left her mark at Carven thanks to her minimalist collections for the French house.
She will take up her new duties at the end of January 2025, however, she will only present her first collection in October 2025 during the Fashion Week in Milan.

Nous l'attendions depuis des mois et c'est enfin officiel : nous avons le remplaçant de Virginie Viard chez Chanel et ce n'est nul autre que Matthieu Blazy, après 2 ans chez Bottega Veneta.
Nous savons pour l'instant qu'il rejoindra la maison (et s'installera à Paris par la même occasion) que dans la première moitié de 2025 (nous n'avons rien de plus précis pour le moment).
Ainsi, sa première collection pour Chanel sera présentée dans la seconde moitié de 2025. En attendant, tous les prochains défilés Chanel : couture en Janvier et Juillet, croisière en Avril et prêt-à-porter en Mars seront présentés par le Chanel Design Studio et non Matthieu Blazy.
Son titre exacte sera donc : Directeur Artistique des Activités Mode de Chanel, il s'occupera donc de designer la Haute Couture, le prêt-à-porter et les accessoires, directement sous la commandement de Bruno Pavlovsky, président de Chanel Fashion et Chanel SAS.

We know for the moment that he will join the house (and will settle in Paris at the same time) than in the first half of 2025 (we have nothing more precise at the moment).

Après avoir annoncé son départ de sa propre marque après son dernier défilé en Juin 2024, Dries Van Noten vient d'annoncer que Julian Klausner serait désormais son remplaçant !
Pas inconnu de la marque, ce dernier a travaillé comme designer prêt-à-porter féminin pour la marque depuis 2018.
Désormais, il va gérer les collections hommes et femmes et son premier défilé aura lieu le 5 mars 2025
pour présenter la collection féminine.
