OPENING CEREMONY OF THE MONTE CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL 🇲🇨
Ce vendredi 14 juin avait lieu au Grimaldi Forum de Monaco la cérémonie d'ouverture de la 63ème édition du Festival de Télévision de Monaco et son blue carpet iconique. Et j'y étais !
On Friday June 14, the opening ceremony of the 63rd Monaco Television Festival and its iconic blue carpet took place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. And I was there !
Nous avons débuté la soirée par apercevoir un petit bout du blue carpet avec notamment Carrie Preston (que je vais revoir dimanche mais ça, nous en reparlerons au moment venu), les acteurs de "La petite maison dans la prairie", la journaliste Louise Aubery, l'influenceuse Mélissa Alleb, Victoria Silvstedt et les acteurs de NICS qui ont été accueilli par une foule en délire !
D'autres célébrités comme Simone Ashley, Kelly Rutherford et Morgan Freeman ont rejoint le blue carpet mais j'étais déjà à l'intérieur du Grimaldi Forum pour le début de la cérémonie d'ouverture...
Sans oublier de passer par le photo call !
We started the evening with a glimpse of the blue carpet, including Carrie Preston (who I'll be seeing again on Sunday, but more on that later), the cast of "Little House on the Prairie", journalist Louise Aubery, influencer Mélissa Alleb, Victoria Silvstedt and the cast of NICS, who were greeted by a cheering crowd !
Other celebrities such as Simone Ashley, Kelly Rutherford and Morgan Freeman joined the blue carpet, but I was already inside the Grimaldi Forum for the start of the opening ceremony...
Not forgetting the photo call !
Une fois confortablement installée, la cérémonie a débuté par la présentation des membres du jury de cette 63ème édition du festival, le tout premier jury ayant été Marcel Pagnol en personne.
SAS le Prince Albert de Monaco a récité le discours du lancement officiel de la cérémonie et il a remis deux prix d'honneurs : le International Golden Nymph of Most Promising Talent à l'actrice Simone Ashley et le Crystal Nymph pour récompensé la carrière entière du grand acteur Morgan Freeman.
Morgan Freeman qui nous a ensuite présenté sa série "The Grey House" dont il est le producteur. Le reste de l'équipe l'a rejoint sur scène afin de nous parler un peu plus de ce projet.
Once comfortably seated, the ceremony began with the presentation of the jury members for this 63rd edition of the festival, the very first jury having been Marcel Pagnol himself.
H.S.H. Prince Albert of Monaco recited the speech officially launching the ceremony, and presented two honorary awards: the International Golden Nymph of Most Promising Talent to actress Simone Ashley, and the Crystal Nymph for the entire career of the great actor Morgan Freeman.
Morgan Freeman then presented us with his series "The Grey House", of which he is the producer. The rest of the team joined him on stage to tell us a little more about the project.
"The Gray House", c'est une série qui raconte l'histoire de trois femmes durant la Guerre de Sécession aux États-Unis. Une mère et sa fille qui luttent contre l'esclavagisme dans un État du Sud, pro-esclavage. Le destin reliée de trois femmes, une noire et deux blanches qui vont lutter main dans la main, peu importe leur couleur de peau, pour abolir cette horreur qu'était l'esclavigisme.
Une histoire de racisme mais aussi de féminisme, dans un monde dirigé par les hommes blancs.
Des images tristes et difficiles mais dont il est essentiel de se rappeler afin de ne pas reproduire les mêmes erreurs.
"The Gray House" is a series that tells the story of three women during the American Civil War. A mother and daughter fighting against slavery in a pro-slavery Southern state. The linked destiny of three women, one black and two white, who fought hand in hand, regardless of their skin color, to abolish the horror that was slavery.
A story of racism, but also of feminism, in a world ruled by white men.
Sad and difficult images, but essential to remember so as not to repeat the same mistakes.
